ตลาดตัวหมาก
- เงินและการได้อย่างเสียอย่าง
- Ages 8 to 13
- About 7 minutes
The story behind it
Every exchange in chess is a small deal: I give you this, you give me that. Strong players do the sum before they trade, the way a careful shopper checks the bill. Coins make the idea easy to see.
How to play
- Pawn 1 coin · knight 3 · bishop 3 · rook 5 · queen 9.
- In the shop, buy the right number of pieces for exactly the coins you have.
- At the trade desk, decide if a swap is good, fair or bad for you.

What it teaches
Working within a budget, exact totals, and judging whether an exchange is fair.
The story to tell first
Every exchange in chess is a small deal: I give you this, you give me that. Strong players do the sum before they trade, the way a careful shopper checks the bill. Coins make the idea easy to see.
Three questions to ask
- Was there more than one way to spend exactly those coins?
- Buying the queen left you no coins for anything else. What did you give up?
- When might a “bad” trade on points still be the right move?
